The Georgetown County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission is accepting applications to immediately fill a fulltime Prevention Specialist position. Qualifying applicant must be able to coordinate and implement activities designed to reduce substance misuse among the Georgetown county population. Youth and adolescent age groups are the central focus of the primary prevention activities.
Minimum qualifications are: Bachelor’s degree in a health services field or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Starting Salary range is $24,000 to $29,000 based on education and experience. Benefits included.

The office is staffed on Monday through Wednesday from 8:30am to 7pm, Thursday from 8:30am to 7pm and on Friday from 8:30am to 12pm (noon). We continue to adhere to social distancing practices and encourage wearing a mask in order to reduce the risk of transmission of the Covid-19 virus in our community.
